The health and safety of our attendees, guests, and staff is our top priority. We continue to work closely with our friends at the Raleigh Convention Center to ensure that Animazement will be a safe and fun environment for everyone! The following policies may be updated as conditions demand.
Proof of Vaccination OR a recent negative COVID-19 test are required for entry.
All attendees, staff, vendors, guests, and any other persons older than 5 years of age entering the Raleigh Convention Center must provide one of the following:
A valid CDC card showing proof that you have met the criteria for being fully vaccinated. The definition of fully vaccinated can be found here on the CDC website.
OR
Proof of a negative COVID-19 test. This test can be no older than 5 days old. The results of rapid tests are NOT sufficient for entry.
Masks are required within the Raleigh Convention Center.
All attendees, staff, vendors, guests, and any other persons older than 5 years of age entering the Raleigh Convention Center must wear a mask at all times. Masks must cover your mouth and nose. No mesh masks or masks with holes.
Masking rules also apply to cosplay. If your character’s mask or helmet covers your mouth and nose, you’re good to go! However, if your cosplay includes a mask or helmet that does not fully cover your mouth and nose, you must wear an additional face covering that does so.
Masks can only be removed when eating or drinking, which will be limited to specific dining zones within the convention center.
Attendees younger than 5 years of age are encouraged, but not required to wear masks.
If you remove your face covering after entering the RCC, you may be asked by our staff to put your mask back on. We reserve the right to ask any person refusing to wear a face mask to leave the convention spaces. Repeated incidents may result in the loss of your badge.
Additional health and safety measures have been implemented by the RCC.
Our friends at the Raleigh Convention Center have expanded their cleaning and safety procedures. These include more frequent cleaning of RCC surfaces, additional hand sanitizer stations, and many other changes. You can read more about it here on their website!
If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please email us at info@animazement.org.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and we look forward to a safe and fun Animazement!
Frequently asked questions:
Q: Do I need to have a booster shot?
A: No, booster shots are not required. You only need to meet the CDC requirements for being “fully vaccinated” as linked above.
Q: Can I bring a photo of my vaccination card instead of the actual card?
A: Yes, a photograph is acceptable as long as it shows all of the information on the card.
Q: Exactly when should I take the COVID test before the convention?
A: You should TAKE the test no longer than 120 hours (5 days) before you plan to arrive at the convention.
Q: Can I take an at home test?
A: No. We are requiring a PCR test. You should specify this when you get tested.
Q: I’m vaccinated. Do I still have to wear a mask?
A: Yes. Everyone is required to wear a mask inside the RCC.
Q: What if I have a medical reason that prevents me from taking a COVID test/wearing a mask/etc?
A: If you have medical reasons that prevent you from complying with any of the policies outlined above, please email info@animazement.org and we’ll work to accommodate you.
Q: Can I still pick up tickets for a person who is not with me?
A: If you are picking up tickets for a person who is NOT present at the time, they must provide you with a photo or copy of their vaccination card or negative COVID test (whichever applies). The name on these documents must match the name on the ticket you are picking up. If you are purchasing a badge at the door for a person that is not present, you must also show a photograph of that person’s ID with a name that matches the required documents.
